Ths springs should be good up to 520 lift. I would just get some good 1.6RR with a B or E cam.

Good luck with those Mac equal Length headers,I have the WP Jack Roush heads and the equal lengths wouldnt clear #4 spark plug, and they are supposed to be the same angle as the GT40P's,I hope I am wrong but good luck.

You have to get special headers for the GT-40P's.

Most headers can be made to work with the P heads. You dont HAVE to get special headers, but you should to prevent future frustration.
I'm using BBK shorties on mine, and the only plug that is close is the #7, so I just used a 90degree boot on that wire. The passenger side has plenty of room on all 4 plugs. like Dark_5.0 said, your springs are fine up to .520 lift, so as long as you dont go crazy with a cam choice, then you'll be ok there. BTW RR's are a must IMO.

I have a set of GT-40 P heads on my '94 GT. I use Motorsport 1 5/8 unequal length headers. I did take my headers and heat them up and put some dents into them around the plugs on the drivers side. A couple plugs are almost impossible to get to when the header is on.
I have some pics of my heads with the headers if you want to see what I did. Email me at josh_ruppert@hotmail.com and I can send them. I cant figure out how to put them in this message without using a web page as source.

P Head Upgrades
Just FYI there's an outfit in SW Indiana called headfixers that
sells upgraded P heads - guides, springs, larger SS valves, and drilled for smog etc. They've got a set listed on ebay right now. Pretty decent price for what should be good heads. They might have some add on parts you'd be interested in. |

I purchased some 1.6RR on ebay from a guy called ped5stang. I have bought 3 things from him and they all were top quality for used parts.
Also in you pictures of the coil - That red wire from the battery may be on the wrong side of the soleniod??? Just a thought if you have not tried it out yet.
