I'm baaaack!
After blowing 2 head gaskets and then finding a warped head then developing an engine noise I decided I need a break and parked my beloved stang. One thing led to another and next thing I know it had been nearly a year so I finally got busy tore the motor down and found my bearings, cam, lifters and oil pump were all history. (all this on a short block with only about 1000 miles on it mind you) I am sure they were results of coolant in my oil from the head gaskets and I also blew the seal off of my oil filter on the way home from work one night which probably didn't help any...
So anyway, I freshened it up installed a new custom grind cam added a couple of other items I have been wanting and am back with a stang that is healthier and meaner than before!!! I had really missed driving it but didn't realize how much till I went from my little Escort to driving the "revived" stang... I had forgotten what acceleration was!!! Anyway, I had quit hanging out here on a daily basis like I used to and now that the stang lives again I will be hanging out here again and sharing my obsession with my fellow stangers!!! It's good to be home!!!
