Talking Hey, that thing gotta Hemi??!!

I'm pretty sure you guys have seen this commercial where two guys in a car (I think a Chevelle, can't remember) pull up next to this new Dodge truck and ask the guy if it's got a hemi, referring to the car he's pulling on a trailer, but the guy in the truck pulls off faster than the guys in the car even though they are TRYING to race (and beat) him, but just don't have enough power. Anwyay, at first, I was like , that's pretty cool and then the commercial kinda grew on me. But tonight, I see the same commercial, but this time, it's different. The same guy is back again at another stoplight, but this time he's now sitting in a top fuel dragster .....and asks "Hey, that thing gotta hemi? Well, now, I gotta hemi, too....But you know what else I got" and points to the back and deploys his chute. But when the light goes green he sits there burning the tires, producing a ton of white tire smoke, and getting pulled back by the parachute.... I was laughing out loud. Man, we need more commercials like that-- about cars and performance, and less crap about American Idol and Saturns.

LMAO, I love that commercial. I just love the way the guy talks, he reminds me of Cousin Eddy from National Lampoons, lol

The car in the first commercial was a Duster I believe. 70-71 model. Just a wild guess though.

So I'm not the only one getting sick of "reality" tv and Saturn/Kia commercials? I haven't seen the new Dodge commercial but the first one made me laugh.

Default Lexus IS300

How about the Lexus commercials where they make out like the IS 300 is fast? I get a kick out of that one because it's so stupid.

Yeah, trust me stang_crazy, you're not the only one fed up with reality shows (there may be one or two that aren't so bad, but most that I've seen have no real purpose but to entertain those who would rather sit at home all day on their couches and watch TV instead of doing something more constructive, uplifting and educational) by demoralizing other humans--- most of the contestants just don't care, seems like, b/c of the money (isn't that like prostitution?)). Well, I usually watch less than 4 hrs of TV per week and that's enough to make me tired of seeing it, it irritates that trash TV is so popular and then I gotta deal with the people who are influenced by such trash. TRUST ME. I in NO WAY think I am better than anyone else (if anything, I'm worse), but I don't have to be to be able to make the simple observation above.

ANYWAYS......... you can throw in the prescription drug commercials and Mazda commercials (Zoom Zoom??? , ah, yeah, sure) with the Saturn ones.

Oh however, there was one (amazingly, I think it was Saturn commrecial a long time ago) where dude and his friend are throwing stuff into a tree trying to knock something down and soon this car falls out of the tree. The guy says to his friend "Man, I told you, you have to let off the clutch EASY"
