Any Interest in Fiberglass Saleen Kit Group Buy??
Hi fellas, I'm new the board, registered to see if there would be any interest in a fiberglass Saleen replica kit group buy. I'm trying to start a buy so that my friend can get the kit at a good price. This applies to all 94-up mustangs, and the more buyers the better the pricing:
94-98 Mustang(6 pieces) 1 front bumper 1 rear bumper 2 side skirts 2 door jamb covers 99-up Mustang(4 pieces) 1 front bumper 1 rear bumper 2 side skirts Pricing <5 orders - 625+shipping 5+ orders - 575+shipping If anyone is interested, please email me at jrscgsr@hotmail.com. The vendor putting this together is Extreme Dimensions, www.extremedimensions.com, and are located in Orange County, in Southern California. Anyone who wants to get ahold of me directly can at 714-904-8848, thanks guys. Jon |

Those are very good prices. Just to let folks know, though - when I bought my Saleen kit for my '00 it was very rough and did not fit all that well. It had to be prepped extensively and they had to use a heat gun to get the parts to fit perfectly. All in all it cost me $1500 on top of the price of the kit for prep and paint.

I thought the authentic Saleen kits were urethane and always fit perfectly? That's shocking to hear that it cost an additional 1500 to install. Basically these prices are half off, but then you're stuck with a fiberglass kit, which can either be a blessing or a curse depending on how you look at it. Anyways, anyone interested please let me know, thanks.

Is this buying direct from saleen? Or is this some knock-off saleen body kit?

I guess the point of my previous post was if the authentic Saleen kit cost me $1500 for prep, paint, and installation, then unless the fiberglass kit is better than the Saleen you could be looking at a lot of money to get it finished unless you do the work yourself. In that case it might be worth paying $1295 for the real Saleen kit. By the way, I did inspect the Saleen kit when I received it and looked at it after they sprayed some color on it to see what the surface was like, and I think the shop charged me fairly.

Saleen kits are junk. I've seen probably 50 posts in my 3 years in regards to them. Not one has ever been favorable. Futhermore, their customer service is non-existant. The only Saleen kit I would want is the one that comes on the car from the factory.

The guy from the service department was an arogant jerk!!! I thought I was talking to a BMW dealership or something... Not so sure I am going to buy their stuff now. It almost sounded like they don't want to sell anything by part.... |

There's a relatively new experience with the Saleen kit. Mustang's Unlimited is generally regarded to be a reputable dealer. |
