1st: RX8, 2nd: G35 Coupe.........3rd: 03 Cobra???
Car&Driver Television did a car comparison on the Mazda RX8 the Infiniti G35 Coupe, and the 03 Cobra. 1st place was the RX8: "Supreme handling, good track times, and Sporty". 2nd Place was the blue Infiniti G35 Coupe: "Also had good handling, not like the rx8 but better than the mustang, excellent stopping power, not as quick as the rx8 on the track". "Now the 3rd place finisher, the most powerful of the 3 by far, fastest track times, quickest in the 0-60 category (4.2 sec.). and the heaviest by over 700 lbs and does the 1/4 in under 13 seconds, which is also faster than the other 2...........the 03 Cobra??? heh...... whatever C&D.
one of the guys did comment on the 4.6l supercharged v8 under the hood. He said it may be the heaviest, might not have the best stopping power because of it's weight, and also might not handle quite as good but the power under the hood makes up for all of this. It did have the quickest track times on the road course, and the fastest from 0-60, and the quickest 1/4 mile. "If you want straight line speed this car takes the cake by far"

C&D have never liked the Mustang...
"Oooohhh... It's toooo brutish and heavy...." "It's not REFINED..." Does it kick the hell out of the contenders in straight line performance and on the road course? Yes Is it fun as hell to drive? Yes So unless you're one of those a-holes who pour over skid pad tests and whether the inside looks like french whorehouse, I say get in the damn Cobra and roast some tires....

Yeah I saw that too. I don't think they'll have anything to complain about when the 2006 Cobra comes out. Mark my words.

Basically, you have to ignore there test results. If the Cobra is fast in both a straight line AND a road track.... |

Good to see you here again this is not cbring.
IMO, Car & Driver sucks and as far back as I remember, they sucked. They keep sending me their crap to subscribe to their biased magazine. Yeah right... Their review doesn't surprise me at ALL. I got behind a G35 last week in my 92 GT. Dude was getting down on it a bit and seemed like it had pretty good acceleration and I really liked how it looked. Don't know if he was giving it it's all, but it still doesn't seem like it'd even beat a stock GT. Anybody the perfomance specs on it.

Its the same car as the 350Z just a little more refined and a little heavier. Its supposed to go through the 1/4 in 14.3 seconds.

Okay. Cool. One more thing. I'm a little behind on my current events.... what does a 350Z do in the 1/4?

Mach 1 review sucked also
I also remember a review they did of the mach1 (can't remember which year '02 or '03) and the old guy with a bald head, kinda hefty too. He said something like, "This is just a sales boost for the mustang. It's name and style will fade soon. All it is, is a marketing gimmick from ford. I'm not impressed by this car at all". My dad was sitting there watching it with me, he was like "Shut the f--- up fat ***". rofl

There was one thing that C&D said about the stang I really enjoyed. When they were testing the 03 Cobra. The announcer said something like "The pony car wars have finally been won. The new 2003 Cobra Mustang puts out 390hp, and 390lb ft of torque. That's way past Camaro performance." I was lovin it.
