Default Roller rocker question?

Currently I have FMS 1.6 pedestal rollers rockers. I just recently went in and tried to adjust my rockers because I was starting to develop a slight ticking, thought maybe one of the rockers came out of spec. I noticed that some of the rockers were getting grooved where the roller tip was rubbing on the inside of the rocker. Kinda looks like the rockers were shifting from side to side for some reason. I heard somewhere that roller rockers only have about a 40k miles life span, is this true?

Anyway, so now I'm looking into different rockers, and was considering Crane 1.7's. Would this be an OK decision, with my E-cam and other such mods in my sig? Would I notice any difference at all?

Thanks, Craig

Default 1.7 ROCKERS

Not sure about the groove thing. Did you install your 1.6 pedestal mount rockers? If so, did you use shims to get the proper adjustment. That's what I had to do back when I put 1.72 rockers on my old motor, which was stock with all the bolt ons.

In my experience...roller rockers should last well past 40K miles.

As for noticing a difference with the 1.7 rockers...they'll give you more lift. You may feel it. You'd probably have to hit the 1,320' to find out for sure. But every little bit helps, right?
