Post ATI ProCharger

Does anyone know of a good (Cheap) place to get an ATI Procharger? Website or otherwise. I read that one would put 425HP on a stock 4.6. Wow! Cheapest one I could find was around $3K.

Thanks,
Keith

Cool

I don't know if there are chepaer places.

$3K is the standard. To the best of my knowledge.

It is a sweet upgrade though. Peaky numbers and great power. Wish I had a Cobra.

Yeah Smoke, I read on procharger.com that it would take a stock 4.6 GT to 425HP. I'm saving up to get one myself.

Thanks,

Maybe I am a bit tainted in my reply because of my experience but if you are not doing the install yourself buy the whole thing at the same place (install and kit).

Depending on kit $3k is what it is. 425 is on a cobra I would assume

Well, What exactly is the HP on a 96 GT? I'm not sure if it's 215 or 260. I thought it was 260. Do you not think that the ATI would add that much to a GT like mine?

Thanks,
Keith

Cool

Hey KWhite,
Unfortunately like I said before our first gen. 4.6's are weaker than the 99 and up. Your 96GT pumps out 215hp stock. The 98's had 225 and the 99 and ups have 260. The 425hp is most likely on a 99 or 01 Cobra (or possibly a GT with other mods). That's not to say that a supercharger isn't the way to go though. Hammer (the moderator in the forum) just went through all this plus different heads and intake and some other goodies and he is pumping out some serious numbers.

typically on the 96-98 cars with a blower are ranging from 280-320rwhp, depending on how extensive the bolt on mods are. most avg. a little more than 300hp. the 96 heads are the biggest restiction to serious hp. one guy went from a 15.1 to a 12.9 with a procharger p1sc. so they definately help!
