carburator
i got a edelbrock 600cfm manual choke carburator with less than 5000 miles on it. When i pump the gas 2 times it starts up just fine, but when i get home and let it sit for a while(about 1 hour or so) it takes about 5 seconds to start up. i have checked for vaccuum leaks and it didnt do this when i had my stock 2 barrel on it. Is it just the edelbrock or is it something more than that. need expert on edelbrock carbs please?

do you have any kind of carb spacer? i've put a carter conversion on probably 100 old fords and the one time i didn't use a spacer the fuel would percolate in the carb and cause a hot starting problem.
if its not that then you're probably too rich. |
