Desktop dyno
Me and some friends got all the info needed to plug into desktop dyno and it said 514 hp @6500 rpms and 479 ft lb (i think, can't remember the torque for sure.
Does this sound right for a 347 with ported canfields. Sounds a little high to me but I really don't know what to expect. How much drive train loss will there be with 3.55 gears and a c-4 trans. The stall is 3400. ------------------ James Cox nochevy@hotmail.com 1991 Mustang LX 12.565 @109.38mph 1.764 60ft |

Yeah, that system is very optimistic. I plugged in all my info on the Cobra and it said that I should be at 350hp and 365 trq. And I don't really have all that much done to it. It's fun to play with, but I think that's about all it's good for. Sorry.

I've been playing around with it for awhile now. Always optimistic in my opinion. Get a chassis dyno (DynoJet) and see what it does. 75% is what I would expect for a C-4 driveline efficiency. That means divide the DynoJet figures by .75 to get estimated flywheel numbers.

Hey rev do you think I will really get a 25% loss through the drive train w/ a c-4?
What would it be with a t-5? |

Ford says 83% effiiency or a 17% loss through the drivetrain for a 5 speed. At least that's what I've been told for a 5-speed driveline. I think that's about right though.
