Convertible Top Adjustment
Are there any manual adjustments that can be made on late model ragtops? The top on my 96 seems to seal ok (as far as I can tell) but sits higher on the driver side. Basically when you are standing in front of the car and looking towards the windshield you can see a little more weatherseal on the driver's side where the top meets the windshield frame. It doesn't look like the pillar is bent at all so I thought maybe the top was a little sprung on that side.
If anybody has any ideas I would appreciate the info. Thanks! Stefan ------------------ 66 Standard coupe 200 inline 6 - Pertronix ignition, K&N, Clifford Perf. 6 into 2 headers(not installed yet), Holley carb, three row radiator 96 GT Convertible K&N (more to come) Where'd my money go? |

The securing "hooks" on the front of mine can be adjusted just like screws. If yours are the same then you can just turn one of them a few full turns and that should even the front up.

Sorry for the delay in thanks. As usual my computer won't always access the message board section. My wife is out of town with the car so I'll have to wait to try the adjustment. I would imagine that all late model ragtops 94 and up are the same. I'll let you know. Thanks for the info!

GaryDawg,
I got my car back in town and tried to adjust the hooks. Mine might be different because they didn't want to turn at all. They could have been seized up. Regardless, I cut a small section of fuel line hose and slipped it over the retaining hook and that allowed the top to snug down tighter. Thanks for the help!
