![]() Why is everyone cutting up perfectly good 67-68 fastbacks?
Those cars are hard enough to find as it is. ![]()

![]() MidNiteBlu 5.0 - Click on the tiny pics, and a larger one appears. Other than that, I don't know what to tell you.
The Deuce - I agree, and quite frankly, I'm not a fan of this modification. It was cool in the movie, but the clone that we saw at the Mustang Round-up last month was over the top, IMO.

![]() I guess its because everyone loved that car. Its interesting you see alot of people that never really liked mustangs love the eleanor car.
That one in the pictures is one of the Unique Motorcar Eleanor cars. They have made 4 already and are currently building more. I believe 3 or 4 more are almost completed. The company i work for makes the gauge clusters and some of the interior bits for those cars. I dont see how they are cutting them up? Just the fiberglass fender flares and the side exhuast which isnt truly functional anyways is the only thing i could see that couldnt be easily converted back to stock.

Also, the plexiglass rear quarters are not stock. Need I go on? Note: I've seen a 'how to' on converting a beautiful 289 4speed car into one of these. I'd readily see people painting them highland green for bullitt clones. That'd be cool.

![]() My boss is building an Eleanor car out of a 67 vert. We havent started alot of bodywork yet but to me it doesnt seem like much has to be cut. You are probably right about the taillights though. The front is a large peice of fiberglass that does have to be molded on so I guess that would be permanent. I will find out as the project goes on hehe.
I think its a awesome car but i do understand where your coming from. the 67-68 fastback is my favorite mustang of all time and they are rare if you dont want to spend alot of money. I was actually looking for one before i bought my 89 but couldnt find one in my price range ![]() The ones Unique Motorcar is using for the most part are cars that are in need of a complete restoration.

![]() That's nice, but something seems not right with it. Or as nice as others I've seen. I like just a nice '68 Emerald Green Shelby GT500 4speed thank you. =) Man I'd sell my soul for one.... honestly, if anyone is looking for one, just shoot me off an email.

What would you expect to pay for an original 67 in the US? Those pics are pretty cool...but I prefer the beautiful uncluttered classic lines ![]() |
