351 Marina block buildup?
So i'm looking to build up a 351 block over the next year or so. I konw a guy that has a 351 windsor block out of a boat. My question is, is there any difference between the marine block and the automotive block? I mean, I know the small stuff like pulleys and alternator and stuff will bolt up, but what about motor mounts and will the T-5 bolt up to it? What about the stock heads and intake from a 89lx, will they be usuable on it. I was either gonna get a port and polish on the stock ones or maybe pick up a set of gt40's. Same with the intake. Basically I just wanna know if its possible to run a marine block in a car without replacing or creating most of the parts for it.

marine motors
well, not sure. I do however know, that some marine motors are reverse rotation.
5 gears of reverse.....lol But usually boats with 2 or more motors have a rev. motor. my buddies fathers 72 Nova (inboard drives) had 2 - 350 chevy vette engines(76 vette) and one was built to run reverse to counter the movement of the other |
