what do you guys think it will run
Ok I'm planing to swap a 302 into my car this spring. Here's my planned combo(subject to change). What do you guy think it will run and what kind of HP do you think it will put out
1)1984 302 bored .030 over 2)forged pistons at about 9 to 1 3)comp cam 268H or 270H 4)performer or performer rpm intake 5)ported E7's or (if I can find a cheap used set) a set of ported GT-40p's 6)1 5/8" long tubes 7)off-road H-pipe 8)dynomax, Mac, or flowmaster cat-back 9)2500-2800 stall 10)4.11 gears 11)trans-go shift kit what do you guys think will be faster a AOD with a 2500-2800 stall, shift kit, and 4.11 or a T-5 with 3.73 gears? ------------------ THE SLO PONY 1992 Ford Mustand LX. 2.3 liter four-banger, auto. And a Holley 650cfm vacuam secondary carb. I know it's too big, but I alrealy have one sitting in basement. Can't I just jet it down?

The 650 shouldn't kill you at all. I think you'll be better off with the T-5, myself, but I am a manual shift guy.
As far as times, it's too hard to say. You haven't picked out the full combo, or really anywhere close to it. I do think that with good driving and some hook, it will be a 12sec car. |
