93 gt conv rear end question
Hello
First time to this site and it says i'm already registerd but i'm not LOL. email is craignight@email.com Any help would be very appreciated. i have a 93 gt convertible 140,000 after driving for 1 hour at speeds from 30 to 65 mph i notice a cluncking? slight grinding maybe from the rearend of the car. only hear it at low speeds like stop and go traffic 1st and 2nd gear. It is a little louder when starting off from a stop and turning left or right. The noise seems to be coming from the center of the rear end/axel area. When the car is started everything this is fine only after driving (heated up) for that hour does it make the noise. I have recently moved to philly south jersey area and don't know any reliable/trustworthy mechanics yet. What should this cost to fix? ballpark guesses? I hate to go to the ford dealer but should i? thank you very much craig |
