Exhaust opinions for 10 second car
Hi, I just got the bbk 1 3/4" longtubes ordered, and im trying to decide what I should do after the headers.
My car will be running 300 shot of nos for now, and then swapped to a novi2000 blower making 16 - 18 psi in the fall. I intend to have a full race exhaust, without tailpipes, Although i will drive it from time to time on the street, it will mostly be seeing trailer duty. I also want something that sounds badass and mean. Ive been considering these options. 1) 3" pipe from the header, 3" race muffler, then 45 degree angle to a side exit pipe just before rear tire. No balancer (do I really need this with a short simple exhaust system with longtubes ?) 2) headers, then 3" mac powerchamber, then race muffler, then a dump pointing to the ground directly after the muffler 3) same as above but looping over the axle. which of the above would offer the best performance ? which would make it easiest to stick on a short simple 2" pipe with a cat and side exhaust with a cheap muffler to each side for pollution testing ? What muffler would you recomend for the best flow ? best sound ? I want something louder than the 2 chamber flowmasters I have now, What is the absolute loudest highest flowing muffler available ? 1 chamber 3" flowmaster ? race magnums ? thanks for the help ------------------ Jonathan Cole Silver 89 Notchback 12.404 @ 109 with 60 shot FRPP 3.73:1 Gears B&M Ripper Shifter |

I sugggest 3 inch pipes, race mufflers and kick them out 45 degrees sidways under the car. Just remember less restrictions the better. Borla's sound real good.
