Side emblems
Does anyone know how to remove my GT side emblems on my mustang its a 94. Are they glued on or bolted on? I bought Cobra side emblems from FORD and they have a pin on the back and adhesive backing? Looking for install advice?

As far as I know they are all attached with adhesive backing. At least that's how my '84, '87, and '00GT are...

I just took mine off a couple of weeks ago.
I know Ford uses locating pins on a couple of their emblems, so if the Cobra emblems came from the factory with pins, odds are the GT badge has them as well. Using some dental floss to cut through the tape is a good way to start. Remove the rest with a razor, then use 1500-grit sandpaper, rubbing compound, and lastly, polishing compound. ------------------ '93 LX notchback, mechanically stock for the moment... No A/C, no pw, no pdl, no rear defroster, no "5.0" badges. What's next: Full-length headers, gutted airbox, 65mm TB. |

they just pull right off. I would never trust myself with a razor and paint, so I just used some windex and cleaned it up nicely. Good luck!

When it comes to removing adhesive without damaging the paint, there's not much better than WD-40. Spray it on and rub the adhesive, with your fingers or a sponge, in a circular direction. Keep adding WD as you make progress. Works killer for bumper stickers and dealer tags too!

They do have a locating pin in them. I don't have a picture handy but you will have a nice little hole in your fender if you remove them.
