99gt heads for a 98gt
How much does it cost to switch for 99gt heads on a 98gt. What power can you expect with the switch. Will it create more power for my 98 than the 99-00 have. What if I do some head work on them first.

I don't know about cost, but you can probably expect about 30-40hp from the head swap alone, which won't put you on top of the 99-00GT's. If you were to add the FRPP Intake that goes with the head swap, you'll probably end up with 270-280 bhp, which is more than the new GT's. If you had some head work done plus the intake you'll see more, but will probably have to upgrade the fuel system as well to take advantage of the increased flow.

IF YOU CANNOT DO THAT, A LENGTH OF STANDARD RUBBER HEATER HOSE WILL WORK. Im running the rubber hose on my car and it has a kink in it near the waterpump, Im not to comfortable with kinks in my cooling lines. Also, a new oil pan and timing cover gaskets are not mandatory, but reccomended. This part was on the old list ----N806300-S2 new front cover studs 1.82 8 $14.56-----IT IS INCORRECT!!! Fords parts computer system continues to mistakely list these 8mm bolts for the 99-00GT. I had to do a parts check for a 99 F150 5.4L truck to obtain the correst stud #'s. I appologize for any inconvinience Ford has caused us. You should be able to swap your parts with Ford even if they are opened due to their fugg up. You will need the following new front cover studs and bolts. You will need 6 studs p/n N808142-S309, about $2.00@, you will also need 2 bolts p/n N808140-S309 found this on the corral .... Search for "99 HEADS" or by name "PAUL99GT". SMOKE |

The guy who performed the swap into Crown Vic had it dynoed and tested at the track. Seat of the pants meter ran good.
Dyno showed 30 rwhp gain. Not bad for a $1000 investment in parts. 99 GT headswap 190rwhp/230rwtq - headswap tuned 220rwhp/250rwtq - SMOKE 98 Stage 2 ROUSH withoput the side exhaust |
