Question How do you "ice intake"?

Is it possible/worthwhile to "ice the intake" on a 200 gt with stock intake? If so how do you do it and what sort of gains can be expected? Anything to gain an advantage in the Texas summer heat would be welcomed! (It would probably melt before I got to the starting line anyway)

all you have to do is plop a bag of ice right on the intake. It will help the engine cool down faster. A cool engine will always run better than a hot one.

So just plop a bag of ice on the intake? It seemed to me by reading other posts from others talking about "icing the intake" like it was some sort of mod or something. Don't some cars have a sort of ice container that wraps around the fuel supply lines to cool the fuel charge? I think they may even be using "dry" ice. I'm interested in this because it could be a cheap way to increase performance.
