Default Explore intake???????????

...I infer that the explorer intake is identical or at least very similar to the cobra intake? Would the intake and the 65 mm throttle body off of an explorer be a viable alternative to purchasing....say an edelbrock and an aftermarket TB? Priced the explorer intake and TB at the junkyard for $180 vs. close to 600 for the other option what would be the difference in power gains? will the cobra emblem fit on the explorer intake?

Are you driving a Fox or a SN95? The Explorer T/B has an elbow to it, like the SN95's, but I'm not sure if they are the same.

The lower intake between the Cobra, GT40, and Explorer are identical. The uppers are all different. The Cobra and GT40 flow exactly the same, but the Explorer about 5% less or so. 200cfm vs 190cfm.

As far as being a viable option compared to an Edelbrock and aftermarket throttle body? That's up to what you do for heads.

I think it's an excellent and cost effective alternative. I got everything for $250(TB, fuel lines, injectors, heater line, etc...)
