2 good races tonight
My Fiance' and I took my Mustang out to the cruise spot tonight, (Gratiot) and got a couple good runs.
First was a wicked tricked out Gremlin. I could see his jet-hot headers hanging low, he had Welds, fuel cell, caged, gages everywhere etc... My car is kinda loud and he was muffling me right out. The light turned and we walked out slow, then got on it in the top of first. I pulled ahead a tick, shifted, and he caught right up. By the top of 2nd I was inching by, and the top of 3rd had me only a half car ahead. That was about as close as they get! I really thought he would kill me. The next was on the way home. A black LS1 SS paced me and dropped down a gear. He had Borla exhaust and a 6 speed, but that is all I could tell for sure. We slowed to around 3500 in 2nd gear and I let him take the move. He got a quick car jump and I hammered it. I started flying up on him and the 2-3 shift had me a car or two ahead. I kept in it to the top of 3rd and had to have 4-5 lengths on him. Definite whoopin' Now I gotta get back to the track for some fresh numbers! ------------------ 1988 Mustang GT 12.0 @ 121 on radials S-trim Vortech sitting in a box! |

You're making all us Metro-Detroit area stang owners proud! Awesome kill on the Gremlin.
I haven't heard about/seen a Gremlin in a long time. Have any idea as to what motor he had? ------------------ Jeff Kane 1990 LX Mustang ex-5.0 Coupe No engine. No transmission. Prepping car for a "big" big-block. http://hometown.aol.com/red514lx/ |

Don't want to sound stupid or anything but what does a gremlin look like? Don't think i've ever seen one.

The Gremlin looks kinda like Wayne and Garths Pacer. Pretty close to that. AMC made them. 6.6 was airbrushed on the back of the hatch so I assume it had an AMC 401.
I have to update my sig. I sold the blower. Stickin with the spray. And hell yeah those runs were on the spray! I spray everything! Like a skunk! |

I'd rather ride a moped than drive a gremlin! Jeesh, what ugly pieces of crap those are. My Grandma used to drive one, maybe it was she that you were racing!
