Post EGR Tube disconnected

I went to the track for the first time today and noticed an exhaust leak coming from the right side of the car. Well when I got home I noticed that my EGR tube was completely disconnected. Could this have slowed my times down at all???

Are you talking about the tube that goes from the back of the engine to the rubber hoses on the passenger side of the engine? If so I believe it could slow your car down. When mine still had them on it and one of them came apart the car ran like crap.

The tube I'm talking about is the one that is a metal material that connects between the top of the passenger header and I guess the egr valve which is right next to the throttle body.

I don't rteally remember how it was all hooked up since I yanked mine some time ago, but I know on mine there wasn't any metal tube going to the EGR from the headers. On mine there was a tube that came off the stock headers that ran up to ports on the back of each head. From there it went to the two thermactor valves on the passenger side then on to the air pump. All the system does is pump air into your exhaust to thin it out for cleaner emissions. If you don't have emissions yank it. Changing plugs will be much easier.
