Saw Steve Saleen!
I was sitting at a light and this gorgeous maroon S281-E 'vert turns onto the street going the other direction. I was on my bike, but stuck in traffic, so I couldn't give chase. There was an older bald guy with a mustache driving the thing, so I kinda figured he wouldn't have raced anyway.
I know Steve lives in the town where I was (which will remain nameless), but didn't really give it a second thought at the time. Well, I hopped on Saleen.com today just for shoots and giggles, and there is the man I saw. I almost fell off my chair. Next time, I'll hop a curb to get a chance to run him. I'm pretty sure I don't have anything that would be close (bike=win/car=lose), but to say I raced him would be really cool. Now only if we could get him to cruise Carlsbad with us in September.

CLASS ACT!
I had the priviledge to meet him, get pics w/ him and he signed my Tshirt and a poster that hangs in my garage...VERY NICE GUY! His wife is very nice too! It was at the Grand Nationals when we showed at the Adams Mark in Houston about 3 years ago....He's very cool! Your fortunate to live in the same area w/ him and be able to 'challenge' him to a street race!
Good luck to ya, I hope you track him down! TNT
