Coating over chrome
I have some brand new BBK longtubes on the way from Summit. I really wanted the ceramic ones, but I sold my old shorties and H-pipe for an amount equal to new longtubes and a shorty H.
Can I coat over the chrome with some VHT high temp paint to prevent surface rust? They will rust without something. I want to eventually send them off and get them coated here locally, but I don't have the money at the moment. Will anything stick to chrome? I have had great luck with VHT coatings in the past, but I don't know if this will work. It may just flake off. |

You might think about having them powerdercoated maybe? im not sure with the headers being chrome now if you could spray some self etching primer on them and then spray the VHT coating or not? Im not sure hwo well it would stick.
