Post Ron Davis Radiators

I was wondering how good of a product these are? Are any modifications necessary for installation or is it a straight swap? Thanks.

I just installed one and it was a straight forward installation. Downs Ford is selling the radiator + hold down for $275. If you don't use their hold down, the existing brackets have to be modified slightly as this radiator is wider than the factory radiator. The radiator itself looks great, solid aluminum and keeps my car cooler with it and a 180 thermostat than the factory radiator and a 160 thermostat.

Another thing is they do not have drain pet-cocks so you need to pull the bottom hose to drain the radiator, not a real issue. I suggest getting a electric fan so you don't need to drill mounting holes for the factory shroud. My 16" Perma-cool works great, I have a Stewart H2O pump and a 180 thermo, I can drive with out the fan on most of the time if I am crusing and it may reach 180 degrees, usually runs around 175.
