sway bar removal
i was curious if removing the front sway bar would decrease the handling of my car too much. i would like to remove it but would still like to be able to control my car.

I have mine removed and it still handles fine. You can't take a 90 deg turn at 50, but under normal conditions it is fine.

sway bar removal
If you drive your Mustang on the street much at all...I wouldn't recommend it. The front end becomes very unpredictable and the entire body rolls around turns, etc. Just take it off before going to the track.

Simi stang is right....the car becomes unpredictable and unstable at high speeds.....gets outright scary at 145+ in an Lx....uhhhh at the cough cough track of course....anyway**

As far as just typical street and freeway driving, where you should never see speeds above 90 (hey, nobody's perfect) it shouldn't affect much. At least mine didn't. But I have the stock replacement struts and stock springs. If you throw 90/10's and drag launch springs under it, it culd be bad. I suggest try it. If you don't like the way it handles, put it back on.

Normal street driving you probably won't ever know it's gone.

I actually just put my 90/10's in about 2 weeks ago and removed the sway bar the same night. Still have the 4cyl springs laying around that I need to throw in too. The car has a lot more body roll to it, and my wifes Trailblazer almost handles better than the Mustang does. But the first time down the track like this made it all worth it. Then to watch the video of the front end rise up instead of launching even with the ground, it is well worth it. It just takes some getting used to, especially on off ramps. This is where you don't realize how fast you usually take them, until the car starts to roll. I love it though.

I've got the 90/10s and 4 cylinder springs with my sway bar removed and really can't tell that much of a difference. I've also got 3" Welds up front too so it's not like I ever actually take corners fast to begin with.
For dragging I'd completely pull it off, that's around 15 pounds off the front of the car.
