Is F303 a good Blower Cam???
Hey guys...long time no post...building a new motor(347 caved) It has the same mods, EXCEPT the jerk at the shop got me a F303 instead of a custom grind. How good is the F303 for a supercharged car compared to the others....for mainly street use.

I tuned a customers setup with a f 303 cam and was pretty impressed with it.. Basic setup consisted of a stock shortblock with fly cut pistons, f 303, box stock Cobra intake, box stock edelbrock 2.02 valve pedestal mount heads, 1.6 roller rockers, S trim Vortech with a Power Pipe, C & L meter, 6 rib setup(best i remember.. not wide anyways) and shorties with a h pipe and flos.. AFTER tuning it made
467 rwhp and 477 lb ft of torque!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BUT this was a 302 cube motor and i feel the cam would be a little "small" for your 347 but it worked very well on my customers application..

I am using the F 303 cam not for a supercharger yet but. I want to tell you that it is a very strong cam with crazy amounts of pull and sounds great at idle.. But its a serious Bi*ch to get running right.. its pulls alot of vaccum and needs alot of fuel to match the air its gunna pull.. so be ready for the after affects.. being a 347 stroker i would plan on doing serious fuel upgrades. but all in all I love the power band at 3K to red line.. very impressive. just my thoughts!

I'm running the F-303 cam with my R-trim and I think it works pretty good. That being said, I am sure a lot more power can be had with a custom grind, but the F-303 isn't a bad blower grind out of the box. I'm sure I'll try a custom grind in the future.
