Rear Gear Change
I recently changed the rear in my 99 Cobra from the stock 3.27 to a 3.73 ratio. How do I recalibrate the speedometer. The mechanic said the speedo uses a magnetic pickup and not a toothed gear at the transmission. Reprogram the computer???

you have two choices. you either have to have a chip thats programmed for the 373 gears or you can buy a calibration box. i think thats what its called

Call Dallas Mustang and see if they have a Speedcal to fit your Cobra.
Be sure to say whether you're using a stick or AODE. www.dallasmustang.com ------------------ Adam "Hammer" Packett: Moderator, Gulf War Veteran GO GET 'EM BOYS! |
