Default stop the squeaking!!

I can't figure out what's wrong with my car! The squeak is coming from the belt/pullies. I've greased all the pullies, belt is only a few months old and added belt dressing yesterday. It stopped when I added the belt dressing (thought I fixed it) but this morning the squeaking was even louder!! What else could it be??

My guess would have to be that your pulleys need to be adjusted, it could be too loose, my Bronco squeeled liek a ***** when i put on a new power steering pump cuz i didnt adjust it properly, it is prolly a little loose and is slippin a little, causing the squeal. just my guess, i could be wrong

Your water pump cpuld be going out, hopefully it's something more simple, belt could be too loose on the tensioner, keep posted....

My g/f Taurus does the same thing. It's coming from the power steering pump pulley. I sprayed some WD-40 on it but it only last for a few minutes.
Last month we took it to have the heater core installed and when she got it back the squeak was gone. We thought "Cool, they fixed the squeak too" but then it just started doing it again last night. I'm about ready to replace the entire pump soon.

my car squeaks because of worn body mounts and fron suspension mounts.

Might be justa cheap belt it the dressing helped it out. Try getting a Goodyear belt. They seem to always give me good luck ! The rubber stays soft and doesn't get hard. Thats what belt dressing is suppose to do, make the rubber pliable again.
