mass air conversion
My friend wants to know if he needs to switch over to mass air from speed density. He doesn't get a smooth idle.
'86 LX with 306, E303, Holley AFPR set at 40psi, EFI gasket matched intake, BBK equal length shorties, 2 1/2" offroad H-pipe, Warlock mufflers, C-4 with racing gears and 3000 stall, 4.33 ring and pinion |

I'd get a MAF conversion, especialy since he has a different cam.
------------------ No Smog Pump (Shorty Belt), Dumps At The End Of Stock H-Pipe (Sounds Mean), K&N Air Filter (Stock Air Box), 198.9 rwhp @4200 (235 Motor!!), 285 lbs-ft @2900 (336 Motor!!!). |
