What is needed to convert a 86 to a 87+ front end?
What all is needed to convert a 86 LX to a 87-93 GT front cap?
What is different? Doesn anyone have any links to people who have done this?

You would need the newer front clip assembly, head light assembly ans hood. Fenders will remain. Seems simple. Lots of people do it.

You'll need the bumper cover (duh) headlights (duh) headlight wiring (the plugs are different)
and I know on the 84 that TRM (my school's motorsports club) is buildiing, they bumper support is steel and much heavier than the fiberglas one in the 87-up, so you may wanna change that too if you are concerned about weight. But the steel one should work fine if not. You didn't get yet ANOTEHR stang did ya Josh? TransAm86, is that you in your avatar?

Ok let be break it down for you guys. I bought a 86 LX parts car so that I could get the core support and fender aprons off of it. I think the core support is a little different. So I was wondering what I would have to do go make my body parts fit on the 86 core support

Yep it is a simple swap. The hardest part will be getting the new hood all lined up.
