i have the same year GT and the only difference between the "25 anniversary" and not is the dash emblem and the arm rest delete. nothing else. the dash tag isnt supposed to have a circle around it it is just supposed to say "25 years"

hope this helps

Yes, you have a 25th Anniversary car. There were no special editions, just the running horse emblem with the "25 years" under it. The wreath was on 35th anniv. editions. The 25th Anniversary cars were every mustang built from 6/89 to 6/90.

from the begining of 1990 to (I think)6/90 ford took out the arm rest located in the center console for weight regulations. it was put back later in that year due to coustimer demand.

One more change that started with the 25th Anniv is the 140 MPH speedometer.

So basically, the 25th Anniversary cars are not all that rare.

only produced for 6 months, so i guess that makes them somewhat rare, but the fact that the difference is slight and only cosmetic, doesnt make the 25th anni. all that special. Still love mine though

All Mustangs produced between April of 89 through April 90 had the "25 years" tag on the dash and the window sticker with the 25th Anniversary watermark. This is for all LX and GT Mustangs.

My 89 was built in Dec of 88, but does have a 140 MPH speedo, just no emblem on the dash.
