Cobra R wheel question
How do you distinguish the real Ford Racing Cobra Rs from the many knockoffs out there. Also, I'm looking at buying a set of wheels that are currently on a 99 Cobra. These are supposed to be 17x9 Cobra Rs that were bought from FRPP. I would be putting these on a 93 that has been converted to 5 lug with lincoln rotors, ranger axles. How can I make sure these will work without actually trying them.
thanks, Chris |

It can be done but you will have to machine the ends of the rotors and make a spacer. I can take some pictures of what I did to make FRPP 98 Corbas work on my 86 with lincoln front rotors if you like. I have access to a ready machine shop and machinsit .. I'd say if you dont have that same access I would look at a different set of wheels. I got my wheels and tires for 250 bucks that the only reason I did what I did.
