Freakin cop giving me crap about the alarm on my stang.
Ok, Its 8:00 in the morning. I awaken to the sound of someone knocking on my door. I open the door and there is a cop standing there with a little book of tickets. He asks me if the mustang in my driveway is mine. He then tells me that he is writing me a $105 citation for disturbing the peace because my alarm keeps going off. I explain to him that it is because my alarm is sensitive and when a car with a rumble passes it sets it off. I tell him that i have tried to adjust it and it isn't adjustable. As i am explaining this i realize that i have seen him before. He is a relative of my neighbor across the street and i see him visiting them every once in a while. He says that he has decided that he wont give me a citation this time but if he gets anymore complaints he will come back and ticket me. So now i cant turn my alarm on at night for fear of geting a ticket. I swear to god that if my car gets broken into because of this i will, i will, I WILL...................do absolutely nothing because i really can't AAAGGGGGGGG. All i want to know is why the freakin neighbor couldnt just come over and talk to me without sicking her cop family member on me.

I doubt the prosecutor would look to favorably on that cops ticket, should he decide to issue one.
I do very much agree with your neighbors complaint though. You need to find a way to get that alarm to be less sensative, or replace it with one that is. It's not fair to the neighborhood to have that thing goin non-stop. |

yeah i think the neighbor should have said something to u. Instead of sticking the cop on u that really sucks. I would defenitly get a new alarm though.

If your alarm goes off so much, aren't you basically crying wolf anyway? I would just put a switch on the siren so that you can turn it off at night, but still let the alarm keep the engine from starting. You may also want to add a fuel pump cut-off switch in some odd place like the hatch to prevent the car from being started even if the crook figures out how to bypass the alarm.

It seems as if alarms are such a big deal that thet actually created a False Alarm Reduction Team: F.A.R.T. no joke!(in Md)
Hey, having an Officer knocking on my door about my alarm is better than my neighbors "taking matters into their own hands". |

Do the same thing I do. Get a big, mean looking dog. Then you don't need a alarm
