Default longer oxygen sensors?? help!

i just put a whole new exhaust on my 94 cobra which includes longtube headers.. one of the oxygen sensors wouldn't quite reach the new place to screw it in (even after i tryed re-routing the harness) so i soldered some new wire between it.. well, the engine light came on.. does anyone know where i can buy longer oxygen sensors or does anyone have any ideas (i really don't want the light on because my car is already running rich)??

thanks, josh

You can buy o2 sensor extentions. I just saw them in my Brothers performance catalog today.

Bosh also sells the sensors in 3 wire lengths. I just got a pair for my Stang with the longest ones about 16" vs 8" direct replacement. I plan to go long tubes sometime this summer and dont want the extensions. Now I just need a torch to get those originals out man they are stuck! I've changed O2 sensors on many other cars with no problems but all have been screwed into the iron exhaust manifold, not a steel pipe like the stang has.

You can buy extenders, or longer O2 sensors at your local autozone/pep boys/equivalent.
