Anyone on here use a similar combo and if so, what times are you seeing?

1993 Calypso Green Notch Looks stock except for the welds. No cowl, no a-pillar gauges, nothing that really stands out Stock shortblock---s-trim with 15psi of boost (2.95 blower pulley and stock crank pulley w/ power pipe). Twisted wedge heads with light cleanup, F-cam w/ 1.7's. T-5, 3.73, gt-40 w/ ported lower, 70mm tb, 80mm pro-am, 36lb. injectors, 4:1 fmu, 255 (Walbro 340), ATI pro-pump, homemade 4" powerpipe, un-equal shortys, 2 1/2" h-pipe, 2 1/4" flowmaster and stock tailpipes! Dyno #'s--NOTE: I made one pull to verify power #'s and air/fuel ratio---NOTE: I tuned this car the old fashioned way----via a "home tune" 485 rwhp 473 ft lbs 12 to 1 air fuel ratio at horsepower peak Track times: 11.07 at 128.6 mph This was on 93 octane fuel. The car has all accessories (a/c, power steering, full interior, stereo, etc) and weighs in at 3120 with a 1/2 tank of gas. This weight doesn't include me (I weigh 270). All in all, not too bad for a stock mustang At least that is what the other guy thinks when I have the 5-stars on |

Car should fly. If you already went 11.0's then I dont see why it shouldn't go at least 10.50's or faster. The only thing I see wrong is the heads. Alot more work will be needed (flow at least @.600 on intake needs to be over 300 and exhust should be over 225 with out a pipe.) I would also say the chamber will also need to be open because of your 4.125 size bore. But besides all that you really need volume. (a larger cc head like... the Afr 205, 225 or the TFS'R head with porting! Then I would say an easy 9 sec combo, if it hooks and goes straight.
My 2 cents but, what do I know! Good Luck |

Seems to me like it should go high 9's. That is a lot of blower...
I agree a better set of heads would help you immensly as well. |
