I found that making my GT breathe alot better that it freed up alot of power.

If you don't have gears already, that is one of the best mods for the high-revving Cobras. 4.10s or 4.30s is what I've heard recommended. Underdrives always help too. If you wanted to get crazy, I believe Sean Hyland motorsports makes camshafts that would really boost your top end and make your wallet much lighter (less weight = better acceleration ;-))

All depends on what your goals are. Are you looking for something more drag racing oriented? Mostly street driving, road race, etc...
For Cobras the only way to go is 4.30's or 4.56's. In addition to what you have I'd say go with a set of underdrive pullies, timing adjuster. There are a few guys with Cobras and these basic bolt-ons in the low 12's NA on BFG drag radials or slicks. ------------------ 00 GT, MAC Offroad H, Steeda Pulleys & Timing Adjuster, 4.10’s, Flows w/turndowns, UPR shifter, UPR Pro Series LCA’s, Lakewood 70/30’s & 50/50’s, 253.8 RWHP/292.8RWTQ 12.91@101.93 (1.74 60ft) M/M 100, 7085 2001 Mod Motor Shootout 2V NA Champion Recent Pic from Moroso |

I've also heard some good things about Houston Performance. They do head porting and also sell cams to match. They are at www.houstonperformance.com
