Battery in trunk???
I have a friend who put his battery to his 96 gt in the trunk, and I viewed a website that highlighted the mod of putting the batteries in the trunk of it's race cars. Does anyone know the reason behind doing this? I have a 99 Cobra, is this something I should consider doing? THANKS!!!

Re: Battery in trunk???
The first guy who did that in the middle of last century did so for weight distribution, to get a very heavy battery off of the nose of the car and close to the back to aid in traction.
Some of the Mustang's now move them to the back to allow for intercooler and related plumbing to fit in that area. |
