Default Tampa bay Mustang owners

Hey folks, a couple of posts in another forum got me to wondering how many folks on this site live in the Tampa bay area. I know 3-4 other folks, plus at least 2 more on this board, and was curious as to how many of us are out there.
Does anyone go on cruises, etc? I think it would be cool to get a bay area group together, maybe go out en masse to scare the local rice? Thoughts?

Cool, I dream of the day when I have a garage and can work on the car when I want. Get it right, and take it out and show it, hell yeah!

They are the 1.94 heads. I got them for $600 brand new and complete from a place in Dunedin so I could not pass em up.
No T Tops, just sunroof. That picture was taken at a car show at Idlewild racing a couple years ago.

Black 85 GT - Sounds like you got a good deal on the heads. Dan from Idle Wild just sold my old Holley heads when he installed my 331. Hope they hold up better than mine did.

What happened to your heads? I have not even put mine on yet. Is there a problem with them? They look like a nice set up.

The heads are a long story, but here goes. I had the systemax 2 kit installed by Idle Wild and only used the car on weekends. Oil consumption was hard to see. It got worse and noticable but I never thought it was new heads. With less than 2k miles and 1 year later I found out it was valve guides. Dan told me to try Holley. After about 4 months of trying to contact Aaron Best (the only person who could authorize an exchange) through phone calls daily, emails and messages left for him and others he told me I was out of warranty by 1 month and there was nothing he could do. When I called daily I talked to countless Holley employees who told me they get boatloads of the Brodix 1.94 heads returned daily for that reason . Another member Rick 91GT had problems with his heads, but noticed it right away and got a set of 2.02 heads from Holley. Next time you talk to Dan, ask him what my Holley heads looked like when he pulled`em off. I`m not sure if they ever fixed the problem with them or not. Sorry for the length-but you asked.

KiltedBanshees93GT - I get my car back on Friday Let me know where and when. I`ll be there. Are you gonna bring the 66?

I have heard the same about the TFS heads. Couldnt you just change the valve guides?

Let me talk to some folks, and I'll post a plan for consideration. This weekend looks out, but with a weeks time I can probibly scare up a couple of people. It would have to be a Sat night for me due to work.
Does anyone know the cruse schedule around here? I know the checkers by me, and the one in Palm Harbor have Cruse in nights w/ a bunch of ricers. Sonics the same from what I understand, and the Palm Harbor Ale house has been known to do cruise ins too. .
Hows this for a plan, we can look at a cruise/get together next weekend with a smaller group, and make plans from there?
Suggestions? Ideas?

Black 85 GT -Yes, I could have invested money into the Holley 1.94 heads, but i decided to put that money into Edelbrock RPM 2.02 heads instead. Besides I just dont trust their quality now.

Kiltedbanshees93GT - Sounds like a plan. Maybe we should find out who wants to meet up and pick a place in the center.
