Default oil fluids

1. my t-5 has 117k on it, fluid has NEVER been changed. would draining and changing it to synthethic harm anything since its been in there so long? also, will the drain plus allow all of the fluid to drain out or is a little syphoning (SP) necessary?

2. same question for the rear end gear oil too.

3. also, brake fluid has never been messed with but brakes are working ok. should i consider emptying it and adding new fluid? just want to keep the car in good running condition. thanks.

you should be fine changing both fluids, the trans will drain most all of it out.the brake fluid change is a good idea!/ to do it by yourself= take as much of the brake fluid out of the master as you can use a clean lint free cloth and soak it up, add new fluid to the master clyinder leave the top off the master now open the bleed screws on the back let them self bleed!( don't touch the brake pedal) when you see clean fluid comin out your done with the back keep an eye on the master don't let it go dry,now go to the front and do the same till it's clean this may take a quart or so of brake fluid, if you have a small hammer tap the calipers on the back it helps the old fluid escape better and any air bubbles. just don't touch the pedal ,if you have some vacuum line around you can put it on the bleed screw and the other end in a pop bottle so you don't have a mess to clean up!
