![]() I know that custom burned chips can help the driveability of a modified engine, but how much HP does it release? I would love my car to run like stock, but are they really worth the money? Has anyone been dissapointed with a JMS chip? Thanks

![]() I am shopping around fo a chip.....I've gotten mixed opinions from everyone about chips from JMS, Diablo and SuperChips. I'm not sold on anyone of them yet......I checked out all 3 sites. The Diablo chip is about $325, the SuperChip is around $400. What's the JMS go for? Heard anything on any of these - good or bad?

![]() I started off with a JMS chip. I ordered it because I didn't know when I would be able to go to a dyno after the installation of the supercharger. I am not knocking JMS, because I truly believe they did the best job they could with a mail order chip. Anyway, my first run with their program resulted in 344rwhp/361rwtq. I then had their chip reburned on the dyno and my best number was 391rwhp/377rwtq, as in my sig. My car ran like crap with the JMS chip. It backfired, spit out black smoke, and bucked consistently. After my dyno, all my problems went away. Just my .02
