What's the best way to pay for something online?
Well I'm thinking about ordering a JL Audio 12W3 from www.caraudiocrazy.com. They have REALLY good deals. I've never bought anything online before. What is the best method of payment. I want somthing that will cover my butt if I get cheated. I was thinking of sending a USPS Postal money order through certified mail. That way if they try to cheat me, it's mail fraud(a federal offense)

Hey Tireburner!
I prefer PayPal...Its easy to do, and if theres any distpute, its easy to take care of.....Thats how I pay for most of my Ebay!!! All you need is a CreditCard, and its a secure site! Check it out! Topless

A credit card directly to the seller would be best. If you have a problem, your credit card company will work with you, and obtaining a chargeback is fairly easy.
Most legitimate stores have a merchant account and don't use on-line payment companies. If you use a third party, such as PayPal, Click Bank, etc, it can get complicated to get your credit if you've been messed upon.

I agree with Topless (it's kinda hard not to). I have been using PayPal for 3 years or so, and they've been great. The majority of the online transactions I've had were with everyday places that also accepted PayPal. I have them take the money straight out of my bank account rather than through a credit card, so I pay no intrest or fees to anyone, including the post office. It's just like paying with cash. Also, they are top notch at refunding your money if you get burned.
Take care, -Chris
