Default Coolant Leak

Hello, I have a 4.6 L 1996 Mustang GT that has just started leaking arround the thermostat housing/crossover housing and before pulling everything apart was wondering if some one can tell me what to do. The leak is on the passanger side opposite the thermostat but looks ominous with bolts coming up from under the crossover housing. I am thinking the first thing would be to take off the alternator and start from there but hope some one can give me some good instrustions.

Thanks

Wendell
