Turning a 351w into a beast on a budget without juice?

I bought my 69 coupe a few years ago and Ive kept her pretty much the same since, except for a new speed demon. Right now the only performance parts she has are a dual exhaust (but stock exhaust manifolds), edelbrock intake manifold, electric fuel pump, and the new carburator. Shes basically a base-line coupe without the original engine or tranny, so no sense in keeping her stock.

I want to turn her into a street-monster but i only have a budget of about 3k (maybe more) and I hate nitrous. Any suggestions on how I could do this?
