Question 68 Ignition Lock

I just ordered and received a new ignition lock from Mustangs Unlimited. However, it won't fit in my ignition switch. When I looked carefully at the very end (which one side of the small bar is small and other a little bigger) they're reversed from my original one. I have the original lock but not the switch, but the replacement switch worked perfect with my original lock. Could this be a manufacturer's defect or am I missing something? Hard for me to believe the lock was manufactured backwards.
