![]() Recently I have noticed some oil leakage on my 66. The engine is a rebuilt 200 with approx 33,000 miles on it. Actually it doesn't even seem to be a leak as much as oil just coming back out through the oil cap and the PCV valve. The oil cap is free of obstruction and the PCV valve is still good, yet oil is basically coming back through both of them and getting all over the valve cover. I have checked the bolts on the valve cover and they are all snug. Anybody have any ideas what might cause this? I have checked and the oil cap fits tightly and the PCV grommet has a good seal. I appreciate any input and please let me know if I need to give any more engine info to help diagnose.
-- don't know if the gauge is right but it shows good pressure. -- oil is clean and level is good Stefan ------------------ 66 Standard coupe 200 inline 6 - Pertronix ignition, K&N, Clifford Perf. 6 into 2 headers(not installed yet), Holley carb, three row radiator 96 GT Convertible K&N (more to come) Where'd my money go? |
