![]() hello me again.
now that I know it's not A sprey. how is it aplied. with some sort of glue or something. and second what kind of preperations do I need to do. the top of my car needs A litle body work done to it so I was planning on doing that soon. so that would be A perfect time to put the vinyl top on. but do I need the repaint the top of my car or is primer good anough or what. I asked my body shop instructor and he didn't know for sure what the proces was. thanks again. crazyhores |

![]() As long as you're paintg the whole car, it wont hurt to paint the top too. Just more protection against rust! If not make sure the top is at least primer sealed. That is primer that's epoxy based and will lock out moisture. Not, like self etching primer that does not protect against moisture.

![]() There are all kinds of places to get the vinyl top kits. Since I live within driving distance of The Paddock (no shipping and handling for me) that is where I would get it. If you visit their site, they can get you a free catalog out to you and it has almost everything you would ever need for your classic mustang. www.paddockparts.com Real nice people too!
The molding seems to be the most expensive part of the vinyl top, $60. |
