![]() Hello, Untill recently I thought I could easily get any part for my '66 Mustang Coup,
6 Cylinder engin with 4 lug bolt pattern. Now I found that I need to replace the right spindle and I can't find one, at least not easily. I would apprectiate any leeds in locating, prefferably new spindles for the left and right side. Thank You Michael |

![]() Have you tryed ebay? You will not find a new set for a 6 cylinder. The closest you're gonna find is for the V8 at www.cobraautomotive.com. Othewise a set from a 67-73 will work, but you have to use the outer tie rod for the year you get. You can get a set of new 70-73 spindles from cjponyparts.com.

![]() Ya know, if you would have posted this about a year ago I would have given you my old ones for free. Unless your going for originality, I would swap over to 5 lug disc brakes, either the granada swap or you could find a stock mustang setup. I believe 65-73 will all work, (search the forums to make sure, it might only be until 72 for some reason...) with the later ones (perhaps after 69 or something??!) being stronger. Sorry, my memory is slipping. (bad for only being 19??!) I did the granada swap, so did others (rev for one I believe) on this site, so any troubles you have we have probably already been there. Good luck, and why havent you blow up that rearend yet??!!

![]() Like I said before, you can use the spindles for 67-70, but you have to use the outer tie rods for that year. There is a difference between the disc and drum spindles, so watch what you get. If you get the drum spindles you will need to get a conversion kit, if you get the disc spindles you can use stock disc parts. The 71-73 spindles will also work, but likewise you have to use the outer tie rods from the year you get. They are alot stronger than the other years. You can buy them new from cjponyparts.com.
