Default swapping a 289 for a 302 roller

Has anyone done this? My buddy has a 66, 289 and wants to put a 302 in it. What parts can we use off the 289? We're going to have a built block (heads, cam, pistons, etc..) What all will we need? will the 289 motor mounts work on the 302? what about the power steering and alternator? Another thing, what transmissions went in the '66? he has a 2 speed auto.
He just wants a motor that he can rag on, the 289 is original, and he doesnt want to blow it up.
