Default matching numbers.

hello every one.


how do I tell if my engine is the original engine for my car. and what ellse needs to be original for the numbers to be matching

What year is this? What is the VIN#? There are a ton of engine codes, we will need a little more info.

o I'm sorry. maybe I worded it wrong. I wasn't asking you guys to tell me if it was ariginal or not. I was asking how you tell if it is original or not. that way I can do it my self.

Well, first you decode the VIN and see if the engine they gave matches the engineyou have. Next I would find the casting number on the engine block and decoed that. That will tell you what year it was made and what car it was placed in. This isn't a full proof way, but it's 90% accurate in my mined.

where can I find A decoder.I thought this site had one but I can't find it. I also ran A search for one and suprisingly all I found was one for the newer mustangs.

Post the numbers here and maby we can do it for you . or go to your mustang supplier and they will hage one, Like California mustang.
