Two C5's go down!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ok I have been dying to get some runs against a c5 for a while, then I get two on back to back nights on the same road!
First a white one (I think this one was auto) I see him behind me I slow down and he roll up beside me so I drop to 3rd (60mph) I nail it and so does he I pull a half car in 3rd I let off a bit because for a second I did not think he was on it all the way, but I hear the vette screaming, so I nail the gas then shift to 4th and begin to pull before I decide to shut down about 3/4 of a car ahead. Than Sat Night I run into a black M6 convt. we run from a 75 punch he hits then I hit I pull him a 1/2 car through what little of 3rd is left than shift to 4th and pull it out to 3 cars by 130! we raced about 3 times before this guy had had enough, fun fun nights. ------------------ 1991 Lx sedan 5.0, 5spd, GT-40 Heads, Cobra intake, 73MM mass air, 65mm TB, FPR, 24lb injectors, E303, Headers, off road H-pipe, Flows, K&n , hurst, 3:55's, pullies, etc... Are you sure they were C-5's? I am not saying BS to your story but just wondering if they were actually C-5's or not.

Nice kills. But I'm also shocked. A C5 will pull harder at highway speeds than the fbody and with only at 103 trap speed he must have been a bad driver.
No offense intended, still a good kill(s) |

Oh, ok, I was thinking of the Z06 corvette.
Yeah, a modified stang can definatly take a C-5. I think a Z06 would take a little more HP under the hood to pull something like that off. I would LOVE to be able to set myself up against a C-5. Not quite ready for the badass Z06 though. ------------------ '82 GT 351W,BBK shorties, Comp Cam,edelbrock intake 625 cfm carter carb. c-4 tranny w/ pro stick shifter. 4 core radiator Mallory distributor. 3:27 ......................... |

My 1/4 times and MPH are off because I have done quite a bit to it since I ran those times I hope to be trapping closer to 109mph when I finally get a new time, also when it ran that time it was not tuned at all that is with the head and cam and a initall tune no real thourogh tunning.
I ran a 11 sec coupe which trapped 115 and lost by a car from the same speed roll (60). [This message has been edited by sedanman (edited 03-26-2001).] |

Good runs...I can't wait till I can get my hands on a yellow Z06 that is driving around Columbia somewhere. I have only seen it twice on my way to the mall and just driving around town. But that is just wishful thinking that I will find him at a stop light somewhere.

I hate to say it white00GT but unless you have some heavy mods and I mean HEAVY mods, I don't think you stand a chance against a Z06. A stock Z06 runs mid 12's at about 118mph compared to maybe your high 13's.
I would have my work cut out for me even with my 351 mustang. ------------------ '82 GT 351W C-4,BBK headers,Carter 625 carb,Comp.Cam,Flowmaster exhaust. 1988 GT...T-5,bone stock |

I must say it is great to be blown...hehe..Although I'm pretty mad. Today when I got home I started to put my panhard bars on or whatever they are called, and they would clear my tail pipes. So long story short I had to cut them off, getting dumps in the morning, but there is this D#*& annoying drone at about 1250-1300 that just shakes the whole car when I pull off from a stop. I'm pretty pissed about it, I hope the dumpes take that away when I put them on in the morning.

That's pretty sweet that you smoked a C5. They run 13.3 stock, and have 345HP. So you should be running a little quicker than a 13.5 right? Is that with slicks? Anyway good job. Later.

1bad89, white00GT runs a HELL of a lot quicker than 13.5!! He has a blower with 12lbs of boost for Christ sakes!!! and his trap speed is 118mph. I made the same assumption that you did, thinking he had a stock mid 13 second 2000GT. Just click on his signature and you will see what I mean.

82GT, I think he is referring to Sedanman's post, the original post.

My bad, I think sadanman would have a pretty close race with a C-5, judging from his signature. I would probably come down to the better driver in that case.(as it usually does)

I was going to say something but a girl IM'ed me and I forgot what I was going to say..hummm maybe it will come to me..OH thats what it was..I just got back from the track 1/8th mile. I couldn't do any better than a 7.912@94.91 on street tires spinning, with a 2.104 60ft. But hey made it to the semis...
